Nengi Omuku: The Dance of People and the Natural World marks an exciting milestone in the career of one of the most significant contemporary artists from Nigeria working today.
Her first UK solo exhibition, held at Hastings Contemporary between October 2023 – March 2024, brings together a collection of her large-scale landscape paintings across five gallery rooms.
This book, which takes its title from the exhibition, presents this new body of work alongside an introduction from Liz Gilmore, Director of Hastings Contemporary and an essay by Azu Nwagbogu.
This exhibition catalogue has been made possible with the support of Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, Kasmin Gallery and Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery.
